Stuff About Me
Hi there! I'm 7th_Rock_Alien, also known as The Alien from Uranus on several other forums and websites. I live on the state border between Tennessee and Kentucky and attend the University of Tennessee at Martin. My car is incredibly ghetto, and I have no money. Other fun facts:
1.) I'm an Animal Science major, minoring in Spanish, and hope to one day work as an international agriculturalist. I believe in the humane treatment of animals and hope to one day develop a means to refine the meat industry in such a way that it would be both ethical and economical. Because animals are cute but delicious.
2.) I also participate in the university's band and choir programs, which I talk about way too much. My primary instrument is the trombone and I sing contralto.
3.) I'm a member of the of the Anime Club on campus and have an appreciation for a variety of animated media. Regardless of anyone else's view on cartoons from Japan, I happen to find many of them as entertaining and lovable as their American counterparts. The Disney classics will always be my favorites, though.
4.) I have recently joined the Paranormal Investigation and Research Society of Martin (PRISM), a branch of the West Tennessee Ghost Hunters. I'm working toward becoming a certified paranormal investigator. Yes, you can be certified for that.
5.) I often waste my time on a variety of artistic endeavors, which include drawing, writing, painting, sewing, crochet, photo manipulation, and occasionally composing piano music that nobody ever hears (refer to Fun Fact #2).
6.) I'm a Civil War reenactor (albeit a n00b). Usually, I play Confederacy, but I'm not adverse to playing Union. No, the South isn't rising again. Sit down and shut up already!
7.) I'm an Internet junkie. This will become more apparent the most of my posts you read.
8.) I'm bi. Partisan, that is. I have been mistaken many times for being firmly on either side of the political spectrum, but I am, in fact, a moderate. Usually, it's conservatives assuming I'm liberal and vice versa. I supported (PAST tense!) Bush over both Gore and Kerry, but I very happily voted for Obama in '08. Go figure.
9.) Christianity, I practice it. Not obnoxiously, though. I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ, not the church. If Jehovah's not you cuppa, that's cool with me. I myself don't have the authority to decide if your religious choices are righteous.
